Who we are
ULI is a nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines working in private enterprise and public service – including leading property owners, investors, advisors, developers, architects, lawyers, planners, regulators, contractors, engineers, university professors, librarians, students, and interns.
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is the oldest and largest multidisciplinary network of real estate and land use experts in the world. ULI is its members. Through its dedication to the mission and its shared experience, we have been able to impose standards of excellence in the practice of development.
ULI’s mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of the land while creating and sustaining prosperous communities around the world. We do this through workshops, conferences, publications, information, and advisory services, among others.
Our specialty is bringing together groups of experts and leaders in real estate from public and private sectors to face the problems of urbanization, urban regeneration, investment, public-private collaboration, and sustainable development. We seek to detonate collaborations with our members through tutoring, communication, and problem-solving. We believe that sharing our knowledge through education, research, and publications on various platforms helps generate a global network of people trained to address present and future obstacles.
ULI Mexico started activities more than 20 years ago and has more than 250 members in Latin America. ULI currently has more than 40,000 members around the world, committed to the responsible use of land, care for natural resources, and sustainability.
We are facing the unique opportunity to positively influence the correct use of land and urban development in Mexico, a country that is going through a profound transformation and questioning its status quo.
As ULI, we are committed to adding value and positively influencing the goal of planning and building better cities; studying success stories and better practices to achieve sustainable and responsible use of the land, as well as in the creation of more prosperous communities.
