Carlos is a founder and partner of Ibarra, del Paso y Gallego, S.C., where he specializes in Real Estate, Hospitality and Business Transactions. Carlos is admitted to practice law in Mexico and in the U.S. in the States of New York and California. He has more than twenty years of experience advising foreign and domestic investors doing business in Mexico, specializing on Real Estate, Commercial and M&A transactions, actively representing several companies in the acquisition, leasing and development of real estate properties for industrial, residential, commercial, tourism and hospitality (restaurants, hotels and services) and infrastructure projects. Carlos obtained his Law degree (JD/LL.B. equivalent) from Universidad Anáhuac del Sur (Mexico City) in 1998 and obtained an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center (Washington, D.C.) in 2002 as a Fulbright Scholar. He is the Treasurer for the Mexico District Council of the Urban Land Institute.

I am a partner in Nader, Hayaux & Goebel (NHG) since 2019, and I specialize in real estate finance and investment. I have substantial experience advising clients on structuring in CKDs (development capital certificates), CERPIs (investment project certificates) and FIBRAs (the Mexican equivalent of a U.S. Reit), private funds and other financial investment vehicles for the real estate sector. In addition, as part of my special focus in securities and capital markets, I represents national and international issuers, sponsors, banks and financial institutions, global real estate investors and insurance companies, among others. I am part of NHG's team specialised in advising Mexican and foreign companies in their transition to a regenerative economy through sustainable principles and ESG criteria, which has led me to work on labelled issuances and financings.
